Dr. John Fay is an entrepreneur with over 15 years work experience in Lusaka, Zambia. He is a founder
of SVAS and the Managing Director of affiliate Financial Services International LLC. Previously, he was the founder and Managing Director of VITALITE Group, an off-grid electrification company in Zambia and Malawi. He has worked extensively as an independent consultant, at Deloitte’s Emerging Markets Group and investment bank FBR. John holds a PhD from the University of Cape Town, an MBA from Cornell University, and a BA from Duke University.

Dr. Shadreck Banda is a training and customer service expert with more than 15 years of experience in the sector. He is a founder of SVAS and the COO of affiliate Financial Services International LLC. Previously, he served in senior positions at the National Legal Aid, Law Association of Zambia, UNHCR and the Zambian Governance Foundation. He has also done extensive consultancies in business development, social enterprise and business training in Zambia, South Africa, Senegal and the US. Shadreck holds a PhD from University of Zambia, two master’s degrees from University of Zimbabwe and Copperbelt University, and a BA in development economics from the University of Zambia.

Dr. Moliehi Shale is a development practitioner with over 10 years’ work experience in consulting and research in a number Southern African countries. She is the International Consulting Director at SVAS. She is also the founder of NalaPayGo, Lesotho’s first female-led Pay-As-You-Go (PAYGO) energy and servicing company. She has previously held research officer positions at the University of Cape Town and Stockholm Environment Institute (Oxford) as well as Programme manager positions on numerous business development training and capacity building programs in Zambia. Moliehi holds a PhD and a master’s degree from University of Cape Town and a BA from the National University of Lesotho.
